Jam fan Dave Stafford from Bognor Regis, in Sussex, England got more than he bargained for when he decided to buy the new Limited Edition Print of The Gift photo sessions by Twink from The Jam Website. Unbeknown to him, Dave's name was randomly drawn from a hat containing all the buyers names and addresses and he won the chance to meet his hero Rick Buckler in person.

Rick travelled to nearby Chichester with Jam historian Graham Willmott for a radio interview and presented Dave with his signed print, live on the South of England's Spirit FM radio show with Ian Crouch. Dave was invited to join the interview and turned up with a crowd of his friends, all die hard Jam fans who arrived with an array of memorabilia for autographing, and Rick duly obliged.

During the interview Rick confirmed his support for this year's Tribute to The Jam being held at Guildford Civic Hall on November 3rd. Afterwards everybody retired to a nearby hotel for lunch and spent afternoon chatting about music & other subjects. Later Rick commented 'It was great to meet up with some of the old fans, and I look forward to seeing them again at The Jam 01 Tribute in November'
